Fauree Launches Pamo - MSME Financing Platform in Zambia, Advancing Digital Economic Transformation
Lusaka, Zambia — Friday, 8th May 2026
Fauree has successfully launched Pamo — the National MSME Financing Platform, a landmark digital initiative designed to transform access to finance for (MSMEs) in Zambia.
The official launch event was attended by the Guest of Honor, Hon. Felix C. Mutati, Minister of Technology and Science, who commended the initiative for strengthening Zambia’s digital infrastructure for economic inclusion. In his keynote address, he emphasized that government’s role is to “facilitate and regulate,” while enabling the private sector to drive scalable economic delivery. He further described Pamo as the ‘digital rails’ that convert policy intent into practical, measurable impact.
The event also brought together senior stakeholders from government, financial institutions, and the MSME ecosystem, including Permanent Secretaries and private sector leaders, marking a strong cross-sector commitment to financial inclusion and digital transformation.
Representing Fauree, CEO & Co-Founder Azhar Tasadduq highlighted the platform’s mission to digitize supply chain finance and unlock scalable access to working capital for underserved businesses across Zambia.
Local legal partner Kaumbu Mwondela Legal Practitioners also participated in the event, emphasizing the importance of legal and regulatory frameworks in enabling trust, compliance, and long-term sustainability of digital financial ecosystems.
Driving Structural Economic Change
The Pamo platform is designed to address one of Zambia’s most pressing economic challenges: the formalization of MSMEs. With an estimated 96% of MSMEs operating informally, Pamo introduces a structured digital system that brings “invisible” economic activity into verified financial and legal records.
Key expected impacts include:
- Formalization of MSMEs, improving access to credit and legal protection
- Real-time economic intelligence, enabling data-driven policy execution
- Scalable financial inclusion, powered by digital infrastructureAccording to projections shared during the launch, the initiative has the potential to contribute up to $600 million in GDP growth and create approximately 100,000 new jobs, positioning Zambia as a regional leader in digital financial innovation.
A Shared Vision for Growth
Fauree reaffirmed its commitment to building inclusive financial ecosystems that connect policy, technology, and capital to real economic activity. The launch of Pamo marks a significant milestone in that journey—strengthening collaboration between the public sector, private sector, and legal institutions to unlock sustainable national growth.
As Zambia accelerates its digital transformation agenda, Pamo stands as a foundational platform designed to power productivity, formalization, and financial access at scale.
