Askari Bank, PEL, and Fauree Launch Digital Supply Chain Finance Platform for Nationwide Vendor Network
Askari Bank, PEL, and Fauree have launched a Digital Supplier Finance program that brings structured, transaction-backed working capital financing to PEL’s nationwide distributor and vendor network. The collaboration leverages Fauree’s digital platform to enable supply chain partners to access financing against confirmed invoices—without the need for traditional collateral or extensive paperwork.
PEL is one of Pakistan’s leading manufacturers of home appliances and electrical equipment, with a strong nationwide presence and an extensive network of distributors, dealers, and vendors. Its supply chain supports the production and distribution of a wide range of consumer and industrial products, where timely access to working capital is essential to maintain inventory levels, production efficiency, and uninterrupted business operations.
Under the program, PEL’s confirmed invoices serve as the basis for credit decisioning, allowing Askari Bank to extend financing rapidly and at scale. The end-to-end digital workflow—from vendor onboarding to invoice submission and disbursement—eliminates the inefficiencies of traditional supply chain finance models, reducing turnaround times from weeks to a matter of hours.
The program is structured to deliver clear value across all stakeholders. Vendors gain reliable, collateral-free access to bank financing linked directly to their verified business activity. PEL benefits from a stronger, more liquid supply chain capable of meeting production schedules and market demand with greater efficiency. Askari Bank expands its SME lending portfolio through a low-risk, technology-enabled financing model anchored to a trusted corporate partner.
This launch marks another important milestone in the digital transformation of Pakistan’s corporate banking ecosystem, demonstrating how strategic partnerships between financial institutions, leading corporates, and fintech platforms can drive financial inclusion, strengthen supply chains, and accelerate access to working capital for businesses across the country.
