In a bold move to transform Ghana\u2019s agricultural landscape and empower smallholder farmers across the country, the Presidential Initiative on Agriculture and Agribusiness (PIAA) has partnered with FAUREE Link Limited to launch the DOBIDI Agro-Input Credit and Farmer Finance Platform (DACFIP). The initiative is designed to digitize and democratize access to finance at the farm gate.<\/p>

The historic signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PIAA and FAUREE marks a strategic milestone in delivering on H.E. John Dramani Mahama\u2019s vision of a farmer-first, digital, and inclusive economy, placing Ghanaian growers at the center of national prosperity.<\/p>

\u201cThis is not just about financing farmers. This is about restoring dignity and giving farmers a central voice in Ghana\u2019s economic story\u2014not just a seasonal role at the margins<\/em>,\u201d declared Mr. Azhar Tasadduq, CEO of FAUREE, during the ceremony.<\/p>

A Game-Changer for Growers and Agribusinesses<\/p>

The new platform, DACFIP, promises to close the financing gap for millions of smallholder farmers through an end-to-end digital system that integrates growers, aggregators, agro-input dealers, processors, financial institutions, and government actors.<\/p>

Under this platform:<\/p>

* Farmers can access seed, fertilizer, feed, and tools without upfront cash, thanks to real-time input credit and grower financing.<\/p>

* Payments are triggered instantly upon verified delivery, ensuring transparency and eliminating long payment delays.<\/p>

* Farmers are digitally profiled, KYC-compliant, and ready for formal banking and credit scoring through integration with licensed financial institutions.<\/p>

\u201cWe are proud to be working with a partner who brings not only technical excellence but also a clear understanding of the human impact behind every line of code,<\/em>\u201d said Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, Director of the Presidential Initiative on Agriculture and Agribusiness at the Office of the President.<\/p>

He says Banks and financial institutions will now have confidence in the new drive to lend more to farmers.\u00a0<\/p>

“By linking smallholder farmers directly with formal finance channels, DACFIP gives rural and commercial banks new confidence to lend at scale\u2014through data, not doubt. Participating banks are assured of traceability, repayment scheduling, and digital enforcement mechanisms that de-risk farmer lending.”<\/em><\/p>

\u201cTo banks, we say: join us. Lend through data. Lend through trust. This is the platform Ghana\u2019s farmers have waited for,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0emphasized Mr. Tasadduq.<\/p>

Delivering Mahama\u2019s Vision for Agricultural Modernization.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Aligned with President Mahama\u2019s\u00a0\u201cGhana We Want<\/strong>\u201d vision and the 24-hour economy strategy, DACFIP supports targeted national priorities in:<\/p>

* Rice and maize production<\/p>

* Poultry and livestock value chains<\/p>

* Coconut, horticulture, and high-value crop development<\/p>

* Youth employment and agro-enterprise incubation<\/p>

It is also fully integrated into the DOBIDI Project, the national outgrower scheme that supports input supply, market access, and post-harvest management.<\/p>

From the coconut-growing coasts of the Western Region to poultry farms in Ashanti and rice cooperatives in the Northern Corridor, DACFIP is already onboarding thousands of farmers and agripreneurs into a new ecosystem of inclusion and wealth-building.<\/p>

A New Dawn for Ghanaian Agriculture<\/strong><\/p>

\u201cThis is the beginning of a new economy\u2014rooted in productivity, powered by technology, and financed at the farmgate,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Mr. Tasadduq concluded.<\/p>

With the digital rails in place and government backing secured, all eyes now turn to execution at scale. As FAUREE and PIAA roll out DACFIP district by district, a new wave of agricultural confidence is sweeping across Ghana.<\/p>
